Shakedown Productions Send it to Echo Mountain, CO for One Day Bass Fest
Anyone who lives in Denver for the music is intimately familiar with all of our best venues — Cervantes, Mission Ballroom, Red Rocks, etc. — but a common gripe among us is the lack of nearby places to party in the mountains. All of them are an hour or more away, turning a simple evening show into a trek that often requires an overnight stay or coordinating drivers. We’re certainly spoiled in the city, but sometimes, you just want to get away and be immersed in the Rockies while listening to some great artists.
If this is a frustration you’ve experienced, we have good news: Echo Mountain is back in business. Located in Idaho Springs, just 30 minutes outside of Denver, the ski resort has been hard at work upgrading its concert venue to be better than ever. They’ve invested in newly paved roads and fresh AstroTurf to improve the grounds, and the result is a gorgeous spot for shows that’s an easy trip from the city. Visitors can hang out at the fire pit, grab a meal at the restaurant, or simply wander the area to take in views of the Continental Divide at more than 10,000 feet of elevation.
